December 2008 News:

This past month the Sewing Group made and gave the following:

Seven lap robes for Cardinal Health Care
One blanket sold - money will be used in our mission
Eight crayon bags with notepads were given to McKinley Primary Center to be used as academic gifts incentive in their Title I Program for Kindergarten and 1st grade students.
Six blankets for the Homeless Center in South Bend.

Quilters are custom quilting every Monday and the past several months the sewing group was making blankets and craft items for the Turkey Supper Bazaar.

Women in our mission are making rolled bandages, stuffed animals, blankets, wheelchair bags and are custom quilting every monday.  We have made and given in friendship six thousand five hundred forty-two blankets, four hundred fifty-four wheelchair bags and eight hundred eighty-eight children's stuffed toys.

We appreciate the donations we have received and the support that the church has given us. If you can cut material blocks, enjoy quilting or tie a yarn knot come and join us on Mondays.

We also need people to sew quilt tops at home. There are kits in twin and lap robes sizes in the church sewing cupboard.

Women are custom quilting every Monday to support our mission.
